one week in the spotlight.

It's been so long since posting anything! It has been way too long, unfortunately facebook makes me lazy about blogging. It is much easier to post something there than here. BUT I like my blog and I am not giving it up!

So to make a good come back, here are a few short stories I just posted on facebook but on an ETA's wife group page which is closed to the public. Me and James had our week in the ETA (Elvis Tribute Artist) spotlight and I tried to make it shine with stories, pictures and videos.

I first met James in Katowice Poland he taught at my English language school. James says that when he saw me for the first time waiting for class that he said to himself "If only I could have her then everything in life would be great."
It was love at first sight. I remember being so nervous in his classes and during th...e breaks everyone would smoke and I could tell James was looking at me.
Then we dated a few times and I remember listening to his songs, original songs that he recorded in Poland. I listened and listened and fell more in love. I still love those songs. Now we have true love and 3 true love kids.

How Elvis became a part of our life...
One year ago, January, there was a local contest in San Diego. James' brother spotted an ad in the newspaper and I knew this is what James should do - go and win. He was against it, he didnt want to go but I was sure he must! As he was standing he went to the contest in an old velv...et jacket and a wig for 15$. All he needed was his voice, and he won! Someone also asked him to sing at their wedding. Not long after that he started to be an Elvis Tribute Artist. Now 8 months later Elvis is his full time job and even if some months are hard he has my full support to do what he loves!

Below James rockin' the stage! I am not only an ETA wife but also an ETA photographer ;) IN OUR FAMILY James is the voice, I am the eye, Lilly is the vision, Martin the lawer ;) Max - hmm ...he is just a baby ;) Have a great day everybody!

The True begining...since James was 17 he ha been an actor, New York, L.A. San Francisco. The true begining of his Elvis life was in 1998 when he was asked to audition for a play written by Comedian/Writer/- Steve Martin. The play featured Einstein and Picasso and a time traveling Elvis. They wanted a real Elvis someon...e who could make him seem real not just hip swiveling and sneering. James watched all the films listened to Elvis Music and read everything he could find because it was a great part and the money was fantastic and the play was touring. James went to Los Angeles to audition for Steve Martin himself. Steve liked James' look but the best thing was he said James had "That certain something that Elvis had that we just can't describe" (Steve had met Elvis after Elvis saw his show) needless to say James got the part and was Elvis for 2 years. But being an ETA would come much later, but the seed was planted.

It was an honour to be one week on the spotlight! I hope everybody know us little more and hope we all will meet one day in person ...sooner or later. Hopefully in Memphis :)

I had another chance to work with Presley Luna. Last week he got accepted to a talent and model agency and his proud parents needed some more pictures of him. He is a really handsome little boy and I do like to work with him even though doesn't make it easy ;)

I chose these Portraits out of 80 of the best pictures but I am always curious which once are his mom's favourite , and which once the agent will take.

No1.This past week we were celebriting love and it is the most important part of my life. It is covering me as a cozy blanky, its always there. We always smile and say to eachnother look how many heads are running around the house. It is running on love :) Couldn't be more happy!

No2. The intresting part of my life from my far away past is that I was ileagally traveling with my father on his oiltanker ship for a long time. I was about 5 years old. I was visiting my dad and he decided to take me for a short trip to Holland but plans changed very quickly and they couldnt go back to Poland so I HAD to stay. I remember other countires like Brasil, I remember there was a swimming pool on board, I remember driving the ship with my dad.

No3. JAMES said - I always have our kids to make me smile keep me alive and in the moment. They are so beautiful innocent and full of hopes and dreams and they think I am the greatest. When I come home and they rush to me and hug me its the best.

No.4 JAMES said - I also have my Alex who helps me to overcome bad feelings or negative people that have to pop up in our lives now and then. She has always believed in me and more she can push me to do things that I need to do but sometimes am too afraid or lazy to do. I love you my Alex.

No5. I do like taking pictures of myself so that they look original and unique. A post is always better with a photo: ME taken by ME last week. I even do like post only with photos.

My beautiful white basket is loved by kids. When Max was in it he had fun for a long time. Next time was for Presley and when he got in he felt so comfortable he didnt want to come out :) It makes kids laugh makes them look cute and cozy and beautiful. They love to pose in it.

No1. I know. I am lame. I am so lame doing blog posts! There are so many things I want to blog about, share but then somehow they are just staying in my head. OY WEY - me :) Sorry about that ! One reason for that is the fact that I don't like bloggspot so much and I am thinking about finding a new home for my blog.

No2. Lilly - My little Lilly. Yesterday was her big day! Her first gig. She was so excited, she did great and she looked so so beautiful! We Went shopping after and that made her day even better and it felt so good to see her being so happy. In the Disney store Lilly put every single dress on but she ended up with a Princess and the Frog toy. So like her mommy :)

No3. Mr Diggy - this needs an explanation. One day Lilly started calling Max "Mr Diggy" and it stuck, we all love it and the funny part is that Max calls himself Diggy. So cute !

No4. I am Polish. I miss Poland and my family. I miss polish food. I miss polish meats. I miss snow - but just sometimes ( maybe I just think I miss snow ). I cant believe what I am gonna to say but I miss trams and buses. I miss the big city. I miss juicy and sweet strawberries. I miss trees. I miss Cracow. I do feel like at home here in America. But I still miss certain things about Poland.

No5. I am in love with shoes ! I adore shoes ! I could buy shoes everyday ! When I was little girl I slept with my new shoes. Literally I will never have enough ! Shoes are for me like jewelry. I collect them, I like looking at them, they make me feel fabulous !

Sunset Market show.

Yesterday James had a show at The Oceanside Sunset Market. It was just another event but there were some special things about it.

First: The Eagle has landed ! Which means his new suit - costume had arrived just before the show even though we were expecting it in two weeks! The suit is gorgeous ! and James looked just stunning! smoking HOT. I love it. I love it !

Second and best is that we could all go. The whole family, since it was outside and it was a Farmers market which makes me and our kids so happy every time we can be part of James' shows'

Third: homeless people. Yes, they were a part of King Kruk's audience since the event was open for everybody. They were a very good audience as Elvis himself would say. I am glad that James could bring them joy and a little happiness in their lives. They were dancing, and they had love and appreciation in their eyes !

The Show was great,the suit looked awesome, we had a really good time. Here are some pictures to share.

That was a fun day. A beautiful park in Whittier, and a two family shoot. The funny thing is that even when the place is the same, each family is so different that In the pictures you can see their own unique personal touch that they give to each picture. Here are some pictures of the second family I shot that day :). I wouldnt say too many but their are a lot :) and again sepia is more welcome than B&W - love that warm feeling !

Inspiration : Baby

I fell in love with the idea of taking pictures of newborn babies. There is no question, I LOVE taking pictures of kids... but babies have now become an inspiration, especially aftermy pictures of Maddie. This whole thing today was about showing YOU, my dear fans and readers what I came up with ! - First I bought a big white basket then a very soft grey blanky. Third stuffed animals... I took my 18 month old son Maximillian to be a model for my small session.

WARNING ! There are a LOT of pictures. I don't really care because each facial expression for me is so precious! And all of them are dedicated to my Grandma (Babcia) and my mom and all of my family in Poland. Max was smiling for YOU.

Thank you Max for being such a cute model ! Love you my small Diggy :)

Being an angel !!

I also bought another cool prop. It is a very unique bowl HAND CARVED and MADE IN KENYA. Oh, this thing is just so pretty. Now, imagine your tiny, beautiful little baby laying in it and in his/her sleep posing for the pictures... Here are a few images of it !

and the last one ...with a baby doll. Max is way too big to fit in the Kenya bowl so I used Lilly's baby :)

We met in Whittier in a very beautiful park. This was the first day in a while with no rain. My pictures will tell the story of this family as I captured their love, warmth, and smiles - you can see all of it alive in the photographs.

I also decided to post only the sepia photos because it is my new thing. I love how these colors make me feel about these pictures. I feel like at home. I feel cozy. I feel there is a story behind them. I feel there is life in the picture. I just printed a few of them and I can not tell you how beautiful they look !

Beautiful Helena apears on the first few pictures and they are my favourite and photographing this two year old cute girl was such a big pleasure.

I have to admit that for a long time there was a debate if we should try and find Lilly an agent or not. We were wondering how auditions and the big world can change our 4 year old Lilly. We definitely didn't want her to grow up too fast, we want her to be a kid. But there is Lilly dancing, and acting in front of us, feeling so comfortable in front of the camera. Lilly who wants to be a rock star! We couldn't fight that any longer! She is a born actress.
This Monday Lilly got an agent and what convinced us that we made a good decision was how Lilly was exited and happy. After meeting with her agent she was ruining, dancing, jumping and singing that she is so so happy ! Her happiness made our day ! My beautiful Lilly ! Here are some head shots from today ...

I promised myself that I would post more often. It didn't happen! Two family sessions, Lilly's head shots, tons of editing, Elvis and family life - it is just too much. Today I will just post a quick sneak peak of what I am going to post in the near future. Two family sessions and each have one picture today, although I could put here like a hundred - they were such beautiful families !

and a full post for my Lilly who just got an agent and she is super exited about it ! I mean when we left the agents office she couldn't stop jumping and running around saying how happy she is !

For a long time now I have been thinking of a blog series which would say more ABOUT ME AND MY LIFE. So many times already I had a post ready and deleted it just before posting. Too many times I had awesome ideas that were with time forgotten. I am sitting here, writing my note and hoping that this time we will go through and I will not erase my words this time.

The main thing that concerns me is that English is my second language and it is sometimes hard to put my thoughts in the right way, in a way that YOU my readers will understand what I MEAN :) The other reason is that I am reading other blogs and I stop myself from writing simply because my English is not good enough. But well, this time is different and the words will go as I think. Lets start then.

No1. I have the most important thing, the thing I always dreamt of, the thing called true love. I loved my husband James from the first sight, I love him more everyday. We have three kids which make our love bigger and better, and because we found each other makes me the happiest wife and mom ever.

No2. Not long ago I found something else. I found photography and I have been in love with my camera and pictures ever since. I didn't sleep, I couldn't eat, I felt like in a dream. I found the path in my already beautiful life. The path which made me feel complete. It was a missing spot and now is fulfilled. I love my job !

No3. Kids - that is very important part in my life since it is TAKING OVER my life ! Martin is 10 years old, Lilly is 4, and the youngest one but the biggest pain is Max 18 months old. My whole day revolves around them. I always dreamt of heaving kids and I couldn't be a more happy mom because of my babies ;)

No4. I am a color freak I admit! I love colors but they always have to match, they always have to be right. I wouldn't be able to sleep in a T-shirt not matching my bottoms. Believe me I have to get up and change. I never wear brown clothes, brown shoes, brown bags. My kids don't wear brown and James as well. Brown can be only chocolate ! i could write a whole post about colors, they kinda rule a bit in my life.

No5. Elvis Presley, he is a huge part of our life. James is an Elvis Tribute Artist - this is his job, his passion, this is what he does - spread love through Elvis' songs. It is a fun part of our life - interviews, TV, music, big life which becomes bigger and bigger every month.

Ok, I think that is it for tonight. I hope I did good. And as everybody likes a post with pictures there is one. ME. Talking about colors these beautiful shoes were the inspiration for my makeup. A little touch of color.

It is a fact that I don't have pictures of ME. No pictures of Only ME,no Me with kids.no Me with James.no Me in parks... as a tourist...no family pictures - ZERO. I am always taking the pictures. I am always behind the camera. Today I decided it is my turn and I am gonna be IN FRONt of my own camera. I have to admit I kinda like it and I want more!
It is not so easy though with kids around, somehow wanting to be in the pictures, styling my makeup, just trying to be in the middle of the whole thing. Here are some pictures BEHIND the scenes of my own session. These pictures make me smile.

It was wednesday morning. Sachiko called me to ask if I am coming to take pictures of her and her husband. She wasn't sure because it was raining. When I said that I was coming she couldn't be more happy. The whole way to the park I was saying please STOP raining, STOP raining for at least half an hour. The weather was good enough for us and IT DID STOP raining for about an hour ! It still was gloomy, foggy, I would say kinda mystic, romantic and the colors of the day match my lovely couple just perfect.

I love them. They love me so they keep coming back for more ! ...which couldn't make me more happy because working with Nikki ( and IAN - but that is the next chapter ) is pure joy and fun. I love taking pictures of her. Why? She couldn't be more beautiful and photogenic. Her beauty and my camera made these stunning pictures !! Plus - this splash of green !

There was a baby, there was a boy, there was a very loving family. This past Saturday I had the pleasure to take pictures of the Chris and Patty Luna family. It was my first time. My very first time I took pictures of a newborn baby. I admit I was nervous but the pictures turned out excellent. Now I want more and more. I want more babies to take pictures of !
I forgot how cute and tiny are small babies, even though I had three of my own. I don't even want to go into it because for now I am done with having babies :) Maddie was just like a candy - I could eat her up !
The boy - his name is Presley. Such a significant name, not without reason. Presley's dad is an Elvis Tribute Artist.
The parents - loving, warm, handsome, friendly. I had a blast to spend time with them and to photograph their love for each other and for their kids. Their baby Maddie always will be my "first" baby I took pictures of.

This Christmas time was so busy for us. Busy doing nothing, busy spending time with kids and family, busy eating, busy drinking. There was not much time for blogging.... but there was a time for taking pictures !

Bonsall Elementary

What a show ! What an audience !... Elvis Presley would say "Thank You, You are very good audience "

James was performing at Bonsall Elementary school as Elvis. He was singing his best, he was dancing with his full power and he looked just perfect. This day was magic and special. In one point his sound system stopped and while he tried to go back to BLUE Suede Shoes the screen on his remote just said one word "dad" which was weird because it displays songs and never just one word, and there is no song called "dad". Weirdest yet was that it was his dead father's birthday that day! What a sign! John Kruk came to see King Kruk perform! Lets see some of my favourite pictures of the day.

Ohh I could go on and on about Christmas and about Christmas trees.When I was a little girl in Poland I used to go with my father to the woods and we would cut one. What I can remember is tons of snow and a fricking cold winter and us cutting down our Christmas tree. We would come back home with red cheeks, cold, but so happy about Christmas time. When I was kid Christmas for me was such a long time even though we put our tree up just before Christmas Eve...now we start the second week of December and this time of the year is like a minute...it is gone so quick.

My favorite part of it is to see this magic in my kids eyes, the magic I used to feel !

When I was a little girl Christmas Time was the best time in the year. I have so many THE BEST memories that I could write a book. It was calm, family time when we were enjoying doing just nothing and spending time with our family. How clear are my memories of cooking till late night with my mom, how intense are my memories of Christmas smells, how bright and cold was snow each day of our holiday.I try to make them alive again, I do it for my kids because having memories like I have is the best thing I kept from my childhood.
One of fun things we were doing was nut cracking. While my grandma was cooking in the kitchen me and my brother would stay with her and around big table for hours we talked, and we were nut cracking !
When I saw yesterday all kinds of nuts in Henry's I was blast ! Not mentioning we had 2 kinds of nuts when I was a girl and now I could made this time even better by getting so many different kinds of them. Made my kids sit around table and try each of them, talk and have fun for hours. I know they will always remember nuts as our small Christmas tradition...

...and today while it stoped raining for few minutes we spotted this beautiful, amazing RAINBOW just in fron of our house! It was the most beautiful one I have ever seen. So bright, full of colors and full shaped with 2 endings. Gorgeous !!

I have been very busy working with my new toy - my lens. I just love it. Even though the focal length is not so perfect to walk around with my kids I STILL love it. Even though I got a lot of advice to get 85 f/1.8 I think I made a good decision because..... yeah... I LOVE IT !

Practice and Promotion

I have been UP and DOWN about my new lens. The first day I got it most of my pictures were a bit soft and I was expecting razor sharp images. It didn't happen, and it was so frustrating.
The second day was much better. I love how the lens feels in my hands but I don't feel very comfortable with the focal length - 85mm. I always have to be too far away or I am too close to capture what I have in mind. I guess it is a thing I will get used to. This was my experience with my family when I have to stay close to my kids. 50mm - focal length would be a perfect walk around lens.

Today we were in the beautiful Irvine SPECTRUM shopping center to do some Promo with KING KRUK so here are a few pictures from the day and a new experience with the 85L.

I got it ! I am so so happy ! It has been about 2 weeks since I started researching a new lens. The time came. I sold my lenses and set my mind on a 85mm f/1.2 L. The lens came today and as much as my kids let me I had some fun with it. It is so exciting I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. Everything about it is new to me : aperature, that it is a prime lens, weight ( now it feels just right )

AF as they say is a little slow but I chose excellent image quality over speed. My new baby is home :)

Inspired by other photographers I have decided to sometimes share how I edit my pictures,and what I know,to perhaps help others just a little bit. I have never taken any courses in how to do these things everything that I have learned has been by trial and error. I don't apply the same method every time as I like to approach each photo uniquely. It is more like when I feel the picture looks right then I stop processing. I don't have Photoshop, or Photoshop Light Room - I use Photoshop Elements. It was the best option I could afford. I am still learning.

This first picture is straight from the camera using my Canon 50 mm F/1.8

I am still testing this lens ( it was 60$ ) I am pretty happy with what I get but the lens is very slow and it is focusing way too slow ! What I love is the aperture-1.8 !!!

The second picture is after processing and this is what I did
I pulled the picture to Photoshop Elements
1. I adjusted the sharpness amount 150% radius 4.0 %
2. I did saturation +5
3. I brushed the chin with brush tool, opacity 30% - there were some red spots

AFTER

Not much but small details make this picture perfect. I love it. I love it because of the colors, all blues and browns that go so well together and that cute face of my baby just made it !

There is always a time that comes when I get bored with what I wear, with my hair, with my furniture, with the colors around me, etc , so I know it is time for changes!! Sometimes the small move of a sofa or table makes a big difference. This time though the time came for my website ! I got so bored of its old black look I decided to change it. I went white ! Something completely opposite what I had before - soft, delicate,a fresh look. I am still working on it in between taking care of my two sick children. I am posting this now because.... I am impatient.

My new two favourite things

First place is going to my new MOP -The Bissell STEAM MOP I just got from my mom. It is actually the best thing I have ever had to clean floors. I am telling you, I have three kids and a garden. The floor needs to be cleaned every single day BUT it is just impossible, with buckets, and soaps and kids. First we got a Swiffer - way to expensive and what I think it is just spreading soap over dirty floors. You need to buy pads all the time ! OUR new mop is just awesome, you just poor water, no chemicals and it cleans EVERYTHING like nothing else. It is fresh, clean and so easy to use. I love it ! I love it ! I love it !

The second thing is my new i phone. I just got it. The story is that my Max got rid of my old phone by putting it to the toilet. I was looking for it for days, and after maybe a week we found it... in the toilet. Destroyed. The next choice was i phone, I love it and I got it just for 30 bucks - as refurbished - - great deal to me :) Now it is a time to learn what my i phone can do for me.

When I got my camera one year ago it was such a shot in the dark ! I did not know anything about taking pictures with professional equipment, I did not know anything about cameras , lenses, I just knew I liked CANON. So here is how I got my camera....

I thought that full frame meant something cool and there was only 5D on the market so I got it ...on the Internet. It came with my 24-105 F/4 L lens. I was shocked when the zoom wasn't like it was on my compact camera ( 12 times ) ...I was kinda disappointed at first and that made me start learning about lenses. As I was impatient about buying my equipment I very quickly bought a crappy zoom lens and very cheap 50mm F1.8 lens ( it was 60$ )

Now I know a lot but I do not have money for all the best lenses I would love to have. I am still not sure if my next buy should be a 50mm f/1.2 L or 24-70 f/2.8 L Actually I would love to have both with an extra body 5D mark II :D ... but I don't have money

So today I took my cheap 50mm to try it out since now I know more about taking pictures. I don't have to say much. I was very surprised, I mean IT WAS 60 BUCKS ! Just look at the pictures STRAIGHT FROM THE CAMERA !! NO PROCESSING !! not bad for the $$!

Ooooooo wow! Time goes by so fast. I haven't been here for such a long long time. So many weeks went by and my camera was in her bag too.... too long ! After shopping, disigning, putting our house together, parenting, cleaning, I just put my blog, my camera, my passion away. How much I missed it! There were pictures here or there but finally I have a night to write something, put pictures together ... maybe even more than one post.

So.... HALLOWEEN. I love it ! Even though it is not my thing to do because in Europe there is no such thing as Halloween. We have the day of the dead but it is the first of November and it is a day of sadness and memories of your dead relatives. We light candles on their graves , we put some flowers we spend a very quiet time with our families.

Here, it is all about party, candy and costiumes. We spent many hours with our kids getting ready decorations like a huge spider's web, ghosts, monsters around our doorway. We all had costumes as it is so much more fun for the kids when we do fun things with them. I was a witch, my oldest son was a scary jester, Lilly as a cute butterfly fairy - Barbie Mariposa, and Max ...he just wore a bone suit. Actually he was done just afer he got his first lolypop :)

For not posting anything for so so long. I know I don't have tons of readers... yet but I do have some who come often and enjoy my pictures and my blog, Thank you to everyone for all of your nice comments! I really appreciate it and I will try to be better about posting again.
We just moved into a new house and there is so much to do. So many things to put away and in between 3 kids to take care of time goes by so fast. Weeks go past like days.
During the last few weeks I got really crazy about upgrading everything around the house...garden, garage, kitchen, windows - everything! During this same time my camera was put away.
I also do a lot to help James with his Promo. Elvis Tribute Artist thing - there were some contests, some gigs.

So today since a post is always better with a picture. One of the amazing sunsets - this one is a straight shot from our house window! Amazing !

... and the cutest thing ever - Princess Lilly in her fabulous crown ( made of the leftover fabric of her curtains )posing for my camera. I can't believe how fast she is growing and becoming a GIRL...she is not a baby anymore... we always say...don't grow up, stay little!

Not long ago James got his new suit - The Black Phoenix. Such a work of Art. I love this costume and James looks amazing in it. We can't go out to take some new pictures because our kids are always there. We did some OUT but now we wanted to try something new. We put all of our children to sleep and started to build a studio in our garage... yep now we have a garage - what a great place and so useful! I love our garage. there is laundry room, and a lot of storage space, now there is studio and soon there will be a big boys room - a music studio. I took some pictures of KING KRUK with his NEW LOOK

Just the day on the beach

I am sipping on my margarita and getting ready pictures from the day on the beach. I can not help myself and I have to post SO many pictures of my kids, ...of my beautiful kids since I know my grandma and my mom and my family in Poland will be so happy to see them all before they will get them printed.

Starting from our the oldest one LUIGI. These made me so so happy because he did give me a chance to capture him without making faces or compiling that I have to take pictures of him. He just doesn't like being "posted" on my blog. Well he has to, he is so handsome young boy.

Later on he has got berried in the send and Lilly used the situation right away. Her big brother was stuck in the send so she could kiss him, hug him... and even sit on his head which brought a lot of fun... for both of them. Then she was goofing in front of my camera with her aunt Leanne.

Maximillian as he woke up first was sitting and ...eating :) his favourite blueberries for half an hour and then started to practice him send surfing and him being cute ! Some pictures with me which I just love so much.

We had an amazing time this day on the beach!

Last weekend James went to Lake Tahoe to take place in another Ultimate Elvis Contest and with pride I have to say he placed SECOND ! Although I believe he should be FIRST. He is The best !

To all of you who come to my blog often and for allof the others who are just visiting for the first time I am sorry I haven't writen for such a long time. We are having an incredibly busy time. We are still looking for a place, and this month WE HAVE to move out from the Villages. We are looking everyday, still nothing for sure yet. It has to be perfect and there are not many listings. A Garden (yard) is our top priority and to be close to the beach.

What I miss in my life right now is time to relax and time with my camera. Day after day goes by and I haven't done much, No time. This weekend was my youngest sons first birthday! He was so so happy getting all his presents. Here is a picture with one of them :) Thank you mom and grandma :) he loves it !!
The cake is home made - Lilly , Marcin and James put big sweet heart into making it ! I wish I could have a piece..... I am on a very strict diet. It is the third week and all I can have is just juice from raw vegetables and water. I AM STARVING ! I need a few more days. I haven't had coffee for 3 weeks, and I don't eat meat products ... and I am going crazy about food - all the food I could eat !

So much is going on in our life these days. Last 2 weeks everything was going on around Elvis, this week everything is going on about PLACE TO BE. We have to move out from our apartment next Wednesday. Yep it is just about week. The thing is we don't know where we want to go, where we want to live. Last two years here in America didn't bring to our life nothing but living on the edge. We are thinking about Las Vegas or Los Angeles, we might stay here in Oceanside. We just don't know yet. It is so crazy !!! I will update about it soon.

To put all stress away we do go to the beach everyday, to talk, to play, let kids run around since they don't have the best time with us now. Time is going so fast, incredibly fast. our small baby was just born and now he is 11 months walking ! On the beach there is only one direction and it is ocean. He doesn't care that water is cold, he has fun playing, getting wet, smiling non stop !

The Ultimate Elvis Contest - Pechanga - finals

Since I didn't post anything in between I will come right away to the last day - The finals, the BIG 5. What a stressful and long day it was. James got on 4th position. We had a lot of fun, a lot of stress and we lived for 3 days life filled with Elvis' world, tired we came back to our life.

YOU CAN SEE JAMES SINGING "AMERICAN TRILOGY" HERE

The showroom is wide and hung with a thousand lights. It seats about 1200 and the stage is very wide so there is not a bad seat in the house. On either side was a huge television screen where you could witness each Elvis larger than life as they sang snarled belted and crooned their hearts out for the enthusiastic crowd of about 600 Elvis fans.
Nobody could capture the magic of Elvis himself but each man brought his own brand of Elvis magic in the hopes that this night he would be crowned King for a day. Five contestants performed three songs with the fantastic Expense Account Band who specialize in performing almost all the Elvis tunes you could imagine. They were grand they captured the sound and power of the great TCB band of the Elvis days of yesteryear.
When all was said and done, and each song was sung,and each heart but one was broken, only one man would be King this night but each would share his unique magic with the crowd who loved it and felt, if just for a moment, a little closer to the Real King if only for just a fleeting magical moment.

King Kruk has some new costumes in preparation for his upcoming contests.
June 19-21st is the "Biggie" The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Contest presented by EPE (yeah Elvis Presley Enterprises) The winner goes to Memphis for the World Title. Go to Pechanga Casino in Temecula, California Friday June 19th at 6 p.m. Sat. June 20 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Sun. 21st at 6 p.m. its free Friday and Saturday tickets for Sunday are $15-$30.

June 28th is the San Diego County Fair (formerly the Del Mar Fair) King Kruk won the closing spot and is one of only six Elvis Tribute Artists to compete. Go to the Coors Light Rock On Stage at 4 p.m. King Kruk goes on about 5 p.m. Check out the new pictures.

We haven't been on the beach for so long and for a few days I didn't take any pictures. Lian my friend came with us and I was so exited to take her pictures, especially on the beach. SO all that excitement and stress from yesterday made me forget about the high ISO I had set for night time in Vegas. How mad I was when I got home and saw noise on my pictures !! Anyway they are not bad, but still they could be perfect... Well, next time I will think twice..

Lian is my new friend, great and beautiful woman. Today just one, come back for more tomorrow. I am going to relax tonight watching "Marley an Me" :)

INFO : Of course I don't mind sharing info about this picture. I took it on the beach , harsh sun. ISO 1600, f/6.3, exposure time 1/800sec. Full Manual. Like I said I was not aware of my high ISO, I didn't check it even once. I was just wondering ... why the heck my camera is working today on such a weird settings ? Now I know :)

Elvis on the streets of Vegas

Late in the evening Elvis got ready to greet the city. We walked down from our hotel, I was behind with kids just seeing people's faces turning toward James and smiling or being like WOW Elvis is here. I thought Vegas would be the perfect place for the session, it wasn't easy at all. King had to take care of his fans and I had 3 kids, stroller and my camera. It wasn't easy but we did it !

People were so nice to Elvis, complementing him, standing in line to take pictures with him ... mostly girls and ladies... hmmm I had to be tuff ;) Elvis is still alive and not as an Elvis Tribute Artist but he is alive in the hearts of his fans, always bringing a smile and happiness to people faces.

Because Elvis is a part of our lives now I know a lot about him and his life,I admire him, love his music and mostly I am so sorry that at the end of his life he was so lonely and lost.

AND NEWS : King Kruk is going to perform at Del Mar Fair in the Elvis Contest ! And that will be on 28th of June. So everyone who loves Elvis and lives close is welcome to come ... and support King Kruk your local Elvis and my husband!

VIVA LAS VEGAS AGAIN !!

I love Vegas, such a fantastic place not only for partying and gambling but also such an amazing tourist place with so many attractions. New York New York, Paris, Venice are just nailed.
Since we had our 3 kids with us and Elvis ;) and stroller it was not easy to do many pictures. There are a few more I like and they look like they were just cut out of some fairy tale. Lilly just loved the Castle - Excalibur Hotel, she was sad there were mo princesses inside.

The Bellagio Hotel's fountain show - amazing, especially at night. SO beautiful ! Lilly just loved to seeing this show and as we were watching I was telling her that there were small ballerinas dancing on the water and their dresses were made of drops of water. She loved this story and wants to go back to see the show.

Since All the pictures are so colorful I was wondering if I should put this one here - it is so outstanding... This was the view from our hotel window and the sun was just setting down behind the mountains... so beautiful !

AND tomorrow: King Kruk in Vegas. My plans for taking pictures of Elvis - (my James) turned out pretty well, since we were in the perfect place for pictures of Elvis all weekend. That was an amazing experience, seeing people waiting in line to have a picture with the King(King Kruk). A lot of them were just passing us by screaming Elvis is alive! or just saying hello or smiling seeing small Lisa-Marie with him (Lilly)

... and the good new is that finally I found my watermark :)

What a trip ! We just came back from Las Vegas.

Friday 6pm I got a thought - Let's go to Vegas and saturday noon we were siting in the car driving to Vegas ! Maybe it is not a big deal for many of you BUT for me REAL BIG THING. Even though we went with our kids we had so so good time there!

Today it is already late so just one of my memories... NEW YORK NEW YORK

I felt so bored lately doing nothing creative for the last few days that yesterday I went to my website and I felt I am already bored with it so I started redesigning everything. I put more black and more white, I also redesigned my blog as you can see. After all the redesigning I am happy, I feel I did something creative and I think it looks excellent.

A very important day is coming, which will lead to evne greater things for us. My husband James will perform as an Elvis Tribute Artist at the Ultimate Elvis contest Pechanga Casino !!!

Lastly are the projects that I am planing to do soon. First definitely will be "Elvis" -King Kruk in his new white suit. We are planing to take some pictures this weekend, maybe even tomorrow. You can see the preview below.
